Stopped in on our way back from Glacier at the recommendation of a friend. Great burger, and the hand cut fries were delicious!  Service was friendly and prompt...what more could one ask for.  Awesome little dive bar with a resident cat sleeping in the windowsill next to us. Loved it.

    Interesting spot.

Burgers were fine. Not anything to go out of the way for, but certainly cheaper than the park fare. I questioned whether my 1/2lb was any bigger than my wife's 1/3lb burger and we weren't asked how well they should be cooked.

Fries were a highlight of the meal!

Service was slow and we were the only non bar-goers. Not particularly friendly, either.

There was a cat on the windowsill which was both charming and a turnoff to see cat hair on the floor of a restaurant.

Atmosphere was full of antique ski stuff. Appears to be a family run local-friendly bar first and foremost.

Great little bar/restaurant.  Seemed to be frequented by locals and I can see why!  Dinner of butterfly pork chop was as good as any gourmet restaurant. Doesn't look too inviting from outside, but it's well worth going in!!  Staff was friendly and accommodating!   Would definitely return.

This Inn has a great cafe.  Located just off Hwy 2 halfway between Essex and West Glacier.  I stopped for breakfast and to my surprise only one couple was in there.  After listening for awhile, it sounded like they were "locals".  You know what that means...tourists have not picked up on it yet.

Service was very good and the food arrived in no time.  The ham and cheese omelet was prepared to perfection.  The hash browns were golden brown and tasty.  The ham was grilled before being added to the eggs which contributes to the flavor of the meat.  Ridiculous amounts of ham and cheese.  You will leave with a full stomach and under $10!

Place is homey with some indoor seating.  If this place gets discovered you will be waiting in line.

Great alternative to the pricey tourist restaurants.

Although we did not eat here, we were lost, looking for the mountain goats and the Goat Lick location.  The staff here were so helpful, even providing a map for us to use.
